Eiger Vision EV-90011 Leather Headrests with LCD Monitors

EV-90011
Adding headrest monitors to your vehicle makes it easy to entertain backseat passengers on long road trips. Headrest monitors are truly a godsend for parents, as you can pop in your child’s favorite cartoon movie and keep them entertained for hours. The Eiger Vision EV-90011 line is a great addition to just about any vehicle, as these headrests are available in gray, dark gray, black and beige. At 9″, these monitors will amaze the rear seat passengers with their realistic screen quality.

Since Eiger Vision EV-90011 headrest monitors use IR transmitter technology, rear seat passengers can use wireless headphones to listen to their favorite programming without disturbing the front seat passengers. Imagine listening to your favorite music or radio programming while the “backseat bunch” tunes into their movie or video game soundtrack. In that sense, headrest monitors will make carting your kids around easier than ever before. These LCD screens are great for watching movies, playing video games or for viewing any other types of on-screen media.

In terms of screen quality, this LCD monitor has an immaculate 480 x 234 resolution and a variable 16:9 / 4:3 display for proportionate picture viewing. You can control the brightness, contrast, saturation and tint settings to find the perfect image balance. The screen’s adjustable controls enable you to tilt the screen in order to mitigate the effect of sunlight glare. It also has adjustable mounting poles, which makes it easy to change the height of the headrest monitor.

Eiger Vision’s engineer team wisely incorporated a zipup leather flap as a theft prevention measure. Zipping up the flap conceals the LCD screen when parked. This flap also helps guard against scratches by allowing you to easily cover the screen when it is not in use. When you order these from our website, you get a matching pair of screens, one for the driver’s seat headrest and one for the passenger’s seat headrest. Each pair includes a remote control for navigating through these screen’s menu options.

XM-GTR2022

Face it—your car audio system is missing something. You’ve heard your friend’s great systems and it makes you long for some thump in the trunk. You know you want bass, but you are not sure where to turn. The time is now to add the Sony Xplod XM-GTR2022 to your stereo system.

The Sony XM-GTR2022 Xplod GTR series 2-channel amplifier Is rated at 1200 watts of max power. With power like that, it’s no wonder why this amp causes subwoofers and speakers to thump to the beat. To get the most out of this amp, bridge it at 4 ohms for 500 watts of continuous power. With all of that power and bass, you will have no choice but to keep your head bobbing to the music.

In terms of features, you will appreciate the flexibility of this amp. Sony designed this amplifier with speaker level inputs, which makes it possible to connect this amplifier to stereos without RCA outputs. It also includes one pair of RCA outputs to be used with stereos that have RCA output connectivity.

This amp’s design is superior all across the board. Its slim stature makes it easy to mount this amp in tight spaces. The inverted heat-sink design helps it operate fully and efficiently without shutting off. On top of that, its 3-way system protection circuitry helps ensure that you won’t blow your speakers or overheat your amp. The end result is an amp that is extremely durable and built to last.

Sony’s engineers did not leave any detail uncovered when they designed the XM-GTR2022. Even the RCA level inputs and screw terminals are gold-plated, a perfect touch that sets off the amp’s high tech design. The front of the amp reveals flashy blue LED lighting. This LED lighting serves as an indicator of the internal capacitor’s powering activities. Overall, the appealing aesthetic design of the amp is indicative of the amplifier’s excellent performance capability.

This Sony amplifier is a great way to add the missing bass to your system. To hook up the Sony XM-GTR2022, we recommend using 4-gauge power and ground wiring for installation. Contact us for information regarding a discount on select amplifier kits when purchased together with this amplifier.

Kenwood DNX-9140 In-Dash GPS Navigation

DNX9140
If you are on the lookout for a fabulous in-dash navigation receiver, the Kenwood eXcelon DNX-9140 is a great choice! When it comes to car stereos, this in-dash DVD/CD/MP3 receiver is at the top of the list. Featuring a 6.95” touchscreen, this car stereo has a sleek faceplate design exempt of the customary cluster of buttons and knobs. Navigating through a car stereo’s menu options has never been easier. Of course, the ridiculously advanced voice command feature means you probably won’t even want to touch dial. You can use either to make hands-free phone calls with the built-in Bluetooth technology by Parrot. And that’s only barely tapping into this stereo’s “wow” factor.

You can operate the DNX-9140 just by talking to it. With technology like that, even Batman would be envious of this head unit. Imagine getting GPS navigation directions without typing an address. How about finding a song on your iPod without thumbing through your entire music library? Or audibly telling your stereo to switch from the radio to playing your iPod? The voice command software lets you do all of the above. The ultra thin microphone uses noise cancellation technology to allow you to clearly relay your commands, even on the road. This ultimate hands-free device is a must if you are looking for a smarter, safer way to drive.

As mentioned in the intro, this Kenwood stereo has integrated Parrot Bluetooth technology. This outstanding hands-free interface is compatible with most cell phones, and even smartphones like the iPod and BlackBerry. The stereo will mute the volume as a call is dialed in. Upon answering your call, the caller’s voice feeds into your stereo speakers. You will not have to hold any phones or fumble with any wires as the Bluetooth microphone will pick up your voice while you drive. Another Jetsons-like feature is the Bluetooth music streaming technology, which allows you to stream music from any Bluetooth phone or laptop without connecting any wires. This would even leave George Jetson impressed!

With all of the above mentioned, naturally there must be some kind of weakness that has been overlooked, right? What about the GPS navigation feature? Thanks for asking. The built-in GPS navigation is designed by one of the finest providers of navigation software, the Garmin navigation company. As a result, you get an extremely accurate system that will not lag while loading points of interest, new addresses and alternative routes. It is MSN Direct and TMC Traffic ready, meaning you can add on these extremely useful data software programs for all of the latest traffic updates. For your safety, this unit is engaged with roadside assistance, a big help in times of emergency.

The fun doesn’t stop there either. You can connect your iPod or iPhone through the optional Kenwood KCA-IP301V iPod adapter. The DNX-9140 also offers two rear USB inputs, perfect for connecting portable MP3 players or thumb drives. It is also compatible with a rear backup camera and steering wheel interface for retaining your vehicle’s factory steering wheel controls. Though adding a HD radio tuner or satellite radio tuner may seem like overkill at this point, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that the DNX-9140 is also fully compatible with both of these expandability options. Besides, it doesn’t get much better than a motorized touchscreen unit with tons of expandability options. By the way, if you’re just not a touchscreen type of person, you can control the entire operation with the wireless remote.

Of course, all of the options in the world don’t mean much if the sound quality is poor. Not to worry, this deck features a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter to ensure clear sound whether you are playing songs from a CD, MP3 CD, iPod or other portable music player. The built-in 13-band equalizer gives you total control over the various sound settings. This stereo also includes 9 preset tone curves for preserving your favorite sound settings.

Kenwood knows car stereos as it is, and they made a shrewd decision to involve experts on Bluetooth (Parrot) and navigation (Garmin) to help create this one of a kind mega stereo. This all-around unit lives up to its billing and is truly at the top of its class.

Now you can integrate your iPod with your factory stereo using the Peripheral PXDP universal iPod interface. This handy device enables you to control your iPod through the factory stereo controls. You can use the factory stereo faceplate to change tracks, skip forward or rewind through songs, and generally tweak any other playback controls. Unlike most external connection devices, this unit will produce CD sound quality. Also, it does not require any RF modulators. It simply connects the iPod through the CD port. Keep in mind that in order to use this device, your radio must be compatible with either a CD changer or Satellite radio.

If you would like to integrate your factory stereo with both an iPod and HD radio, check out the Peripheral PXAMG-A universal iPod Adapter and HD Radio interface. This is the ultimate expandability device, as it provides you an outlet for integrating your iPod, HD radio and many other portable media players. With this device, you will be able to use your factory stereo to navigate thru your music library. And the expansion possibilities are endless, as you can add MP3 players, satellite radio tuners, DVD players, GPS navigation units, and other portable devices through the additional aux inputs. Best of all, regardless of what playback option you use, the sound quality is absolutely tremendous. You will enjoy clear playback without the hiss or buzz of most iPod adapters. Best of all, it will not drain your iPod battery because it also acts as a charger, even when playing back music. It is important to note that in order to add this to your vehicle, your radio must be compatible with Satellite radio.

Both the PXAMG-A and the PXDP require a vehicle specific harness. We carry a multitude of vehicle specific iPod harnesses. These units enable you to add an Apple iPod input to your factory stereo. These harnesses are designed for luxury vehicles such as Mercedes, Lexus, Cadillac, as well as major brands such as Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Honda, and Toyota. Make sure you make a selection based on the make and model of your vehicle. In some cases you may need to know the year of your vehicle to make sure it fits within the compatibility range of the vehicle specific harness.
