Autotek Mean Machine Car Amplifiers by Maxxsonics

The wait is over and we are excited to finally see the latest Autotek Mean Machine amplifiers. The Mean Machine series of amplifiers is a legendary Autotek series that has been around the car audio industry for a number of years. While many of those that are new to the 12-volt industry with come to recognize a Mean Machine as shiny black finish with blue LED stripes, these amps have a long history of aluminum and large top heat sinks. After several chassis changes and technological advancements, we have now received the latest 2011 Mean Machine… and 2011 model proves to be the meanest yet!

Maxxsonics has brought the 2011 Autotek Mean Machine amplifiers to an entire new level of power and style. At first glance at these amps, anyone familiar with this brand might not recognize it. That is because the aesthetics of the amplifiers have completely changed to a meaner, more modern look. The black finished chassis is almost the complete opposite of the silver, aluminum chassis of previous models. While the black is a nice new look, it isn’t the finishing touch. Around the edge is a blue LED strip that illuminates when the amplifier is turned on. The result is a soft, ambient blue glow that emanates from the amplifier.

The line-up of Mean Machine amps did not cut any corners and leave out any configurations. This series is made to appeal to the first time installer to the advanced user with a high-powered system. There are 3 different monoblock amplifiers including the powerful Autotek M4000.1D, which features 4000 watts of dynamic power and 2000 watts RMS. That high power is all handled inside of a case that is less than 15” wide. They also offer a 4-channel configuration, such as the Autotek M1400.4. This 4-channel amplifier offers a little more than 85 watts RMS at 4 ohms. That is plenty of power for any upgraded audio system. The M1400.4 is the middle level four-channel amplifier in the mean machines line. There are also a few 2-channel amplifiers that complete the lineup. If you haven’t looked into the Mean Machine amplifier series before, now is the time!
